Virtual hosting enables you to have a web address (URL) www.yourdomain.com. We have plans to fit every budget and can even customize one for you. You also get E-mail yourname@yourdomain.com.
Bandwidth is the amount of data that is used to transfer web pages (including the HTML, graphics, text, sound files, etc.) from the host server to the person viewing the page. If the contents of the page equals 1 MB, and the page is viewed 100 times in one day, the total bandwidth consumed that day will be 100 MB.
When someone requests a file from your site, they are pulling a certain amount of data off the server. We call this transferring data. Transfer rate is therefore the average amount of data that is requested from your site in a given period of time. Everything adds to this transfer rate (html files, pictures, zip files, banners, etc.). An example rate would be 100kb/s which represents an average transfer rate of 100 kilobytes per second.
Moving to a new provider may seem like a complicated and scary process at times. Here at Ultratron, we deal with the various technical aspects involved, and work hard to make this transition as seemless as possible for our new customers. We even provide you a temporary domain so that you can get everything moved over and working correctly before your domain is transferred over.
